One of my absolute all time favorite music sites Daytrotter is bringing their much lauded Barnstormer tour out East. For those of you unfamiliar with Daytrotter
they are a bunch of stand up folks who have been inviting new and known artists to their studio in the Rock Island, IL to record sessions that are then offered up for your enjoyment online -for free. It’s been amazing to watch them grow and evolve over the years. From their Daytrotter Sessions have grown one of the best mobile apps ever as well as the Barnstormer tour – where they bring the down-home approach on the road and to a barn near you.
I’ve long wanted to catch a Barnstormer but they were usually in the Midwest when I was not. Now, however, they have a whole slew of shows scheduled for the East coast with acts like White Rabbits, We Are Augustines, Blood Orange and more. They’re even breaking the mold a bit to do a show in New York City. For the dirt cheap price of $20 you can get yourself out to a show and I highly suggest you make yourself some plans to hit up one of these shows.
